How to Get Rid of Cellulite with OptiLipo
At Epione a customized approach is used to treat mild to advance types of cellulites. OptiLipo is Epione’s proprietary treatment combining Trans-dermal Acoustic Therapy and OptiLipo. Trans-dermal Acoustic Therapy (TAT) represents a new approach to cellulite treatment. OptiLipo is a medical treatment which involves injecting microscopic quantities of natural plant extracts, homeopathic agents, pharmaceutical agents and vitamins into the skin to treat a variety of conditions. The Physician will select a formula customized to treat your condition. OptiLipo can be used to treat or assist in a variety of conditions such as: hair loss, hair regeneration, cellulite, fat reduction (spot reduction), anti-aging of the skin, redundant (sagging) skin, hand rejuvenation, and neck rejuvenation.

Liposuction does not treat cellulite and in fact often ends up enhancing preexisting cellulite, making the cellulite more prominent. OptiLipo treats cellulite directly and the result is a smoother skin surface. OptiLipo also targets fat reduction in areas. The fat deposits flush out of specific areas and the body does not gain the weight back in other areas, which often happens after liposuction. OptiLipo is a non-surgical procedure that does not require hospital admittance, general anesthesia, or downtime. There are no extensive medical evaluations, nor elaborate laboratory data required prior to treatment.
Many different treatments for cellulite have been introduced over the years, most with poor results. Now with Radio Shockwave therapy TAT represents an important breakthrough. The TAT produces a pressure wave that passes through skin and fat to impact the fibrous septae. The pressure breaks up the collagen of the septae and releases the skin, allowing a smoother surface. TAT also helps to thicken the dermis and decrease fat protrusion. Ultrasound pictures confirm dermal thickening after treatment.
OptiLipo, over the course of several sessions, blocks our ability to store fat and stimulates our ability to burn it up. A physician can target specific areas of fat by injecting a blend of medications, along with vitamins and supplements directly into a specific area of the body.
The optimal results of TAT are seen three weeks after the last treatment. Patients can see visible firming and smoothing of the skin, including:
- Improved skin texture
- Improved skin elasticity
- Increased tone and firmness
- Reduced circumference and a more refined figure
Patients have seen dramatic results from TAT. Women who have tried everything from diet and exercise to various over-the-counter remedies have seen results for the first time from TAT. TAT also helps to thicken the dermis and decrease fat protrusion. Ultrasound pictures confirm dermal thickening after treatment. The expected results and length of benefit depend on each patient. Body weight, circulation, and overall level of activity will affect how long results will last. Patients will maintain their results for 6–12 months. We recommend 1–2 maintenance sessions within six months after completing the initial program. Additional treatments are necessary for about 20 percent of patients. Results vary based on your body type and the severity of the condition. On the average, based on condition, the results can be seen in two to three sessions. For certain conditions you may see results immediately.
Nine out of ten women have cellulite. And for most people TAT represents an amazing new wave of treatments. Pregnant women and people with advanced osteoporosis may not be a suitable candidate for these procedure. You may experience slight bruising which resolves over one week. To speed up the healing process, we can recommend the appropriate supplements such as Arnica to be taken orally or topical ointments may be applied to help decrease bruising.
Virtually in all cases there is no downtime after OptiLipo.
Most people describe the treatment as very relaxing, similar to a deep tissue massage. You can feel a sense of vibration during the treatments. A slight pinching or burning sensation may be felt. We can prescribe a topical anesthetic cream to help avoid this.
Do not take Aspirin for a few days before OptiLipo treatment. Wash the area.
You can not wear makeup for four hours after OptiLipo. You can not vigorously exercise for 48 hours. No hot showers are allowed for 6 to 8 hours after treatments. It is also recommended to eat a meal high in protein prior to, and immediately after treatment.
