Laser Vein Removal / Bluelight Instructions

[INSERT_ELEMENTOR id="41639"]

Pre Treatment Instructions

  • In order to avoid skin discoloration, avoid deep tanning (tanning beds, tanning creams), four to six weeks prior to the treatment. If you must be in the sun, use a sunscreen SPF 30 or greater.
  • Shave the area to be treated within 12 hours prior to the treatment if necessary.
  • Recommended: Bring support hose 20-30 psi to your appointment. You may purchase these at a medical supply store or pharmacy.
  • Laser vein removal is not recommended for you if you are breastfeeding or pregnant or allergic to heat or cold. Consulting with a doctor is important before finalizing any major decisions.
  • Always tell your physician about any medical conditions that you may have so as to customize an ideal treatment plan for you.
  • Do not schedule important social activities, meetings, etc. immediately after the procedure. The majority of patients do not have any adverse effects from laser vein removal treatments.
  • Do your daily workout before your appointment for Laser vein removal.
  • Do Not Use aspirin, alcohol, NSAID’s (ibuprofen, Naprosyn, etc.), vitamin E, Gingko, and St. John’s wart for 10 days prior to treatment. It is recommended that two Tylenol be taken one hour prior to the procedure.
  • If you have a history of perioral herpes (cold sores) and you are having your face treated, prophylactic antiviral therapy must be started prior to treatment and continued one week after treatment.

What to Expect

  • Slight, temporary stinging, throbbing, burning sensation, redness, swelling, bruising, and excess fullness in the treated area may last for a few minutes to days.
  • If you are not experiencing any reaction after treatment, that’s normal too.
  • Expect some redness and swelling which may convert to “cat scratch” scabs for 2-3 weeks.
  • Leg vein resolution usually takes about 8-12 weeks. At the end of this process some vessels may be gone while others may be lighter or not affected.
  • The risk of any side effect depends on the area(s) treated.

Post Treatment Care

  • Small swelling and irritation that occur in the treated areas after the procedure are normal.
  • You may apply cool compresses on the treated area to reduce swelling, tenderness, and bruising for a short period.
  • Compression garments may be beneficial after treatment to improve the results and to decrease the risks of complications such as pigmentation, edema, and deep vein thrombosis. Graduated compression stockings with strengths of 20-30 mm Hg (class I) or 30-40 mm Hg (class II) should be worn the first night and then daily for 1-3 weeks, depending on the vessel size treated.
  • You may shower a few hours after treatment. However, be sure to use lukewarm water and mild soap. Pat dry the skin and keep the treated area moisturized after showering.
  • You must perform mild lower extremity exercises such as walking immediately following treatment and then on a daily basis.
  • Do not use drying astringents, exfoliants, irritants, scrubs, or shavers on the treated area during the healing process as this may cause irritation or even worse, damage your sensitive skin.
  • If you have to expose the treated area to the sun, especially within the first 2 weeks, make sure you use sun block (30 SPF or higher).
  • Avoid aggressive exercise or activity for up to 48 hours.
  • Side effects such as blistering, scarring, or extended healing time may occur, especially if you fail to follow the given instructions.
  • You can use moisturizers, deodorants, or even make up after treatment.
  • For approximately 48 hours after treatment (or until bruising is reduced):
    • Avoid extensive sun or heat exposure
    • Avoid strenuous exercises and sauna or getting a massage
    • Avoid hot showers, baths or hot tubs
    • Avoid alcoholic beverages. Alcohol has a tendency to worsen swelling and bruising
    • Make sure that you drink plenty of water.

Your next visit

  • Return for your next treatment every 4-8 weeks to maintain results or as recommended by your physician.

When to Call

  • If you have increased swelling, scabbing, or bruising, worsening after 48 hours
  • If swelling and redness persist after a few days.
  • If you have severe or increased pain.
  • If you have an oral temperature over 100.4 degrees.

Pre Treatment Instructions

  • In order to avoid skin discoloration avoid deep tanning (tanning beds, tanning creams) four to six weeks prior to the treatment. If you must go in the sun, use a sunscreen SPF 30 or greater.
  • Shave the area to be treated within 12 hours prior to the treatment if necessary.
  • Laser Tattoo Removal is not recommended for you if you are breastfeeding or pregnant, or allergic to heat or cold. Consulting with a doctor is important before finalizing any major decisions.
  • Additionally, always tell your physician about any medical conditions that you may have so as to customize an ideal treatment plan for you.
  • Do not schedule important social activities, meetings, etc., immediately after the procedure. The majority of patients do not have any adverse effects from laser tattoo removal treatments.
  • Do your daily workout before your appointment for Laser Tattoo Removal.
  • Do Not Use aspirin, alcohol, NSAID’s (ibuprofen, Naprosyn, etc.), vitamin E, Gingko and St. John’s Wart for 10 days prior to treatment. It is recommended that two Tylenol be taken one hour prior to the procedure.
  • If you have a history of perioral herpes (cold sores), and you are having your face treated, prophylactic antiviral therapy must be started before treatment commences and continued one week after treatment.

What to Expect

  • Slight, temporary stinging, throbbing, burning sensation, redness, swelling, bruising, scabbing, and excess fullness in the treated area may last for a few minutes to days.
  • If you are not experiencing any reaction after treatment, that's normal too.
  • Expect some redness and swelling, which may convert to “cat scratch” scab for 1-2 weeks.
  • Tattoo removal resolution usually takes about 3-20 weeks. At the end of this process, some tattoos may be gone while others may be lighter or not affected.
  • The risk of any side effect depends on the area(s) treated.

Post Treatment Care

  • Blistering is common and is likely to occur 8 hours after your treatment. Do not be alarmed, blisters heal very well and are part of the normal healing process. Blisters indicate your immune system is working in the treated area and beginning to remove the ink from your tattoo. It is natural for blisters to pop, and this helps the skin to heal faster in many cases. Continue to put antibiotic ointment over the blisters once they have popped for at least 24 hours.
  • Keep the treated area clean and dry while it is healing. Clean the area gently with soap and water and then pat the area dry.
  • You may apply cool compresses as necessary for 24 hours after the laser treatment to help reduce discomfort and inflammation. You may take regular Tylenol, but avoid aspirin as it can increase the risk of bruising and/or bleeding.
  • Itching is very common due to the dehydrating effect of the laser treatment. You may apply a thin coating of antibiotic ointment up to three times a day for 3 days while the area is healing and you should keep the area covered with a sterile gauze dressing for those 3 days.
  • Do not pick at the scab or allow the skin to become scraped as this may result in infection and scarring. Shaving should be avoided in the treated area until it is completely healed.
  • If the area looks infected (honey colored crusting and oozing or spreading redness), if you experience an unusual discomfort or bleeding, if any other complications develop, or if you have any questions or concerns, contact our office immediately.
  • If you have to expose the treated area to the sun, especially within the first 2 weeks, make sure you use sun block (30 SPF or higher).
  • Side effects such as blistering, scarring or extended healing time may occur, especially if you fail to follow the given instructions.
  • For approximately 48 hours after treatment ( or until blistering is reduced)
    • Avoid extensive sun or heat exposure.
    • Avoid strenuous exercises and sauna or getting a massage.
    • Avoid hot showers, baths, or hot tubs.
    • Avoid alcoholic beverages. Alcohol has a tendency to worsen swelling and bruising.
    • Do not wear makeup or any other cream or medication on treated area.
    • Make sure that you drink plenty of water.

Length of Benefits

  • The benefits of Laser Tattoo Removal vary greatly depending on the area(s) treated. They can vary from reducing the color of the tattoo to permanent and complete removal after multiple treatments.
  • Every patient has a different body and factors such as age, sleep, medication, diet, stress, weight and hormones that affect the resolution of Laser Tattoo Removal. In most cases, additional treatments may be recommended for complete removal.
  • Maintaining a long-term plan with regular appointments will increase the longevity of the results of subsequent treatment sessions.

Your next visit

  • Return for your next treatment every 4-8 weeks to maintain results, or as recommended by your physician.

When to Call

  • If you have increased swelling, scabbing or bruising, worsening after 48 hours

Radiesse reviews

Reviews

actual patient reviews
Radiesse reviews at RealSelf.com appear to be incredibly balanced. For example, just by going to the main page, a web surfer already gets a good snapshot of the pros and cons of trying Radiesse, which, unlike Restylane or Juvéderm, does not contain hyaluronic acid. The two are basically a class of fillers that help add volume to parts of the face that have been superficially hollowed by age or in some cases, an accident or a congenital deformity. On the other hand, Radiesse is considered a bio-stimulatory filler like Sculptra.

As such, Radiesse adds volume to the hollow areas directly and this, in turn, stimulates even more collagen production, says Dr. Emily Altman, a Short Hills Dermatological Surgeon. Like other fillers, Radiesse works best on the nasolabial folds. For anyone in the preliminary stage of discovering the wonders of modern dermatology, the website is an excellent destination.

Openness is a Virtue

One gets the feeling that cosmetic physicians and plastic surgeons alike are standing by and ready to help. These experts who come from all over the world seem quick to respond to questions posted, as evidenced by their extensive commentaries on reviews submitted. This gives visitors that strong community feeling, which is so important for someone who is researching a subject like Radiesse.

Doctor Ratings Can Be Very Helpful

The high-level of information on the site can make a lasting impression on a new visitor. The Q&A is always around to provide just enough information on the subject. More importantly, the data are presented objectively.

Information is Provided With Warning to Beg to Differ

The bottom line is, Radiesse is not for everybody. The cost can be prohibitive for people who want to look great but also happen to be on a budget. The average cost is $950 for a first-time appointment.

For those who can afford the treatment, however, doing a lot of research prior to embarking on the procedure is the best course of action. People have to bear in mind that the RealSelf site is just for starters. It should never be treated as a definitive source of information on the subject. Footnotes at the bottom of the home page say it succinctly.

Very Useful Overall Satisfaction Rating

Still, this does not detract from the objective quality of personal impressions presented on the website. In the forum, for example, anyone is free to post anything relevant to the subject. One poster even tries to dissuade everybody from trying Radiesse after her tragic experience. The overall rating found on the top left of the home page presents the findings in a nutshell: As of November 17, 2012, 59% of reviewers are in favor of the procedure; the votes have been tallied from 484 reviews.

An Objectivity That Can't Be Found Anywhere Else

In summary, RealSelf is an incredible source of first-hand information regarding trying out a dermatological procedure known as Radiesse. It will save a lot of time, money and effort to visit the site first, as opposed to going on the phone for a consultation or an actual meeting with a cosmetic physician who is likely to charge for the service. The coverage is deep with many people showing contagious enthusiasm to reveal their personal experience. Still, all these features are just one part of the journey. As always, it makes perfect sense to take in everything with a grain of salt.

Stretch Marks

Stretch marks are a thing of the past with new non-invasive procedure

BEVERLY HILLS, CA, October 18, 2010 – Unsightly stretch marks no longer have to be something you just cover up, thanks to a groundbreaking procedure developed by Dr. Simon Ourian, medical director of Epione Medical in Beverly Hills. The procedure has already restored beautiful skin to scores of patients in what is a quick, relatively painless and non-invasive procedure that can be done on an outpatient basis.Initial results have shown that in many cases, Dr. Ourian’s new Coolbeam technology is more effective than dubious and inconsistent over-the-counter creams and much easier and accomplished with less pain than other treatments such as chemical peels or microdermabrasion. Coolbeam is a specialized laser treatment with cooling that is designed to trigger the growth of new collagen that restores the skin’s original elasticity.

Dr. Simon Ourian develops breakthrough Coolbeam treatment Los Angeles to treat old and new stretch marks and restore beauty

While other laser treatments have been applied to stretch mark removal, Coolbeam typically does not require a recovery period, and can be used to treat stretch marks on a wide variety of patients. “Stretch marks can result from pregnancy, weight gain, or even adolescent growth spurts,” said Dr. Ourian. “It’s a very common problem, even in men, but it’s one that can be easily and safely addressed. I developed Coolbeam in response to seeing too many people seeking relief from this embarrassing condition, wasting countless dollars on ineffective creams and painful treatments. We’ve made tremendous progress in this area, and I’ve been very pleased to be able to help so many patients completely eliminate their stretch marks.”Stretch marks occur when tissue under the skin loses its elasticity, and starts to tear. The body naturally tries to repair itself, but the result is stretch marks. Coolbeam works by triggering the cells underneath the skin to create new cells and pigment, and triggering growth of new collagen to restore the skin’s natural elasticity. The procedure can work on all types of stretch marks, regardless of how old or extensive they may be.“I’ve talked to a lot of people who have sought out treatment for stretch marks, and have heard too many stories of painful treatments and long recovery periods,” added Dr. Ourian. “In developing Coolbeam, I wanted to give my patients an effective treatment to restore their natural beauty and self-image, but I wanted it to be virtually painless. I’ve accomplished that with the cooling effect of this specialized treatment protocol.”

Get rid of your dark circles with Blue Light Therapy and Coolaser

BEVERLY HILLS, CA, November 16, 2010 – You take care of yourself. You’re active and fit, the envy of many of your friends at the health club. You’re successful in business and solid at home. You work all day to close the big deal and still have energy to play with the kids before bedtime. Life’s pressures and pace don’t get you down and you sleep well. So, why are you saddled with those dark circles under your eyes? Whatever the cause, you can rely on innovative treatments developed by Dr. Simon Ourian, medical director of Epione Medical in Beverly Hills. Many factors can contribute to the appearance of those dark circles. Food allergies, especially dairy products, kidney disorders, cardiovascular shortcomings, toxicity and aging may lead to the tired, worn out look created by the tell-tale shadows. But those dark circles can still appear, even when you're healthy and holding your ground against age. In fact, it may be nothing you’ve done or haven’t done — dark circles under the eyes often are inherited, part of a person’s genetic makeup.“Eyelid surgery and other invasive procedures can provide desired results,” Dr. Ourian said. “but our Blue Light Therapy and Coolaser treatments are quick, cause very little discomfort and require a relatively short recovery time.”Clients indicate that Dr. Ourian’s Blue Light Therapy is an effective and non-invasive procedure that eliminates dark circles under their eyes without down time from work or other activities. When it comes to growing older, one sign of aging can be significant thinning of the skin around the eyes and a loss of “fat padding” in the face, both of which can result in dark circles under the eyes. Coolaser, an advanced laser treatment developed by Dr. Ourian, can be combined with fillers for optimal results when thinning is a root cause of dark circles.

Dr. Ourian’s Blue Light Therapy is an effective and non-invasive procedure that eliminates dark circles under their eyes without down time from work or other activities.

The skin is prepared for Coolaser treatment with the application of a special topical cream under the eyes. During the 20-minute procedure, a fine laser is used to fragment and destroy the pigments in the darker areas of the skin. The area typically heals within few days and the result is a more youthful, less tired appearance.Finding little or no recovery time with either option, satisfied clients have reported excellent results with Coolaser and Blue Light Therapy treatments."I definitely see a difference!” said one of Dr. Ourian’s clients. “My dark circles have lightened up by about 70% — I wish they were 100% gone — but I am happy. My sister-in-law will be moving to US soon. Will bring her in too.”

Spider Veins Fade from Memory with Asclera Injection Treatment

BEVERLY HILLS, CA, October 28, 2010 – Crawling under her skin, they multiply to create an unsightly purple web that lowers a woman’s hem quicker than the latest fashion trend, or drives her from the beach and swimsuit for the reassurance of shorts or jeans. But spider, or varicose veins, no longer need to be hidden or tolerated with the breakthrough Asclera treatment offered by Dr. Simon Ourian of Epione Medical in Beverly Hills. The unsightly swollen or twisted veins virtually evaporate with Dr. Ourian’s treatment that incorporates the new injection drug. “Varicose veins and the smaller so-called spider veins are most common on a person’s legs, but can appear anywhere on the body and seemingly out of nowhere,” Dr. Ourian says of the treatment approved this year by the federal Food and Drug Administration. “That’s why Asclera injections, a type of sclerotherapy treatment, are so attractive. They are especially suited for treatment of small types of varicose veins in which improving appearance is the goal.”“The injection process allows me to be precise with treatment while providing an alternative to laser use, which also yields fine results but may not be the optimal choice in some cases, adds Dr. Ourian.”Asclera injections are approved for use on spider veins (tiny varicose veins less than 1 millimeter in diameter) and reticular veins (those that are 1 to 3 millimeters in diameter). Asclera works by forcing the body to repair and adapt. The injected solution damages an effected vein’s lining, causing the vein to close and thereby stopping blood flow. Swelling, discomfort, pain and discoloration cease with the elimination of the troublesome vein, while new vessels form to return blood flow to the surrounding area.

The unsightly swollen or twisted veins virtually evaporate with Dr. Ourian’s treatment that incorporates the new injection drug

Dr. Ourian’s sclerotherapy treatment has provided the desired results, both physical and aesthetic, for patients grateful to be pain free for the first time in years and able to show off the svelte, athletic legs they work so religiously to shape. “Sclerotherapy helped eliminate all of my varicose veins. I was very pleased with the excellent results,” said one of Dr. Ourian’s patients.Just as important as the results for most patients is the care and service they received during the sclerotherapy process. “I have had great experiences here with the staff as well as the doctor. I am forever a returning customer. Thank you for your services,” another patient said.Epione Center’s spa-like environment also is a comfort to many patients, who find their time with Dr. Ourian and his staff passes quickly, especially with a treatment that takes a mere 30 to 45 minutes.Asclera is distributed by BioForm Medical Inc. of Franksville, Wis., and manufactured by Chemische Fabrik Kreussler & Co. of Wiesbaden, Germany.

Dr. Simon Ourian Mixes and Mingles with the Next Generation of Hollywood Stars; Twilight’s Alex Meraz of ‘New Moon,’ ‘Eclipse’ and ‘The Twilight Saga’ Gets a Spray Tan from Beverly Hills’ Finest

“It was such a pleasure for my staff to participate in this year’s 2010 Teen Choice Gifting Suite, and meet so many of the industry’s rising stars and trendsetters,” said Dr. Simon Ourian, medical director. “It’s often during the teen years that we begin paying close attention to our appearance, discovering what we like and dislike about our bodies, learning how to care for our skin and determining what it means to look and feel our best. Hollywood’s tweens, teens and young adults greatly influence the rest of the country’s young people while they’re going through that phase, so I’m happy that I can say I met a lot of great role models at the event.”Epione Beverly Hills, a leading, state-of-the-art laser and aesthetic medicine center, regularly caters to the needs of men and women seeking to enhance their appearances and achieve a ‘picture perfect’ or red-carpet-ready appearance. The center specializes in a wide range of treatments for the face, skin, hair, breasts and full body including acne scar removal, laser hair removal, tattoo removal, breast reductions, and breast augmentation surgery. When asked what advice he would give to tweens and teens seeking guidance on ways to look and feel their best, Dr. Ourian expressed the importance of inner beauty, self-esteem, confidence and making health and wellness a priority.“When young people ask me for tips on how they can look their best, I always tell them that the first step is to be proud and confident in who they are, and to diligently maintain what they’ve already been blessed with,” said Dr. Ourian. “Eat well, take great care of your skin and body and commit to a healthy lifestyle and healthy choices. Those are some of the most important things you can do.”Presented annually by Fox, the Teen Choice Awards honor the year’s biggest achievements in music, movies, sports, television, fashion and more. The 2010 awards aired on August 9, marking the 12th year of the televised presentation.

Lip Enhancement

A full, luscious pout is on almost every woman's wish list. There really is something quite alluring about a set of gorgeous, glossy lips and any person in the pursuit of modern physical beauty should have the option to plump their own up a bit if they wish to do so. fillers have developed in leaps and bounds over the last decade or so, enabling women to have the kissable pout they envision in their dreams.

Natural Lip Enhancement

In the quest for the perfect pout, many women opt to tread a more natural path. In some cases, these all natural lip plumping techniques may actually work, though the effect is only temporary. Many women claim that applying a small amount of cinnamon to the lips works as it causes the skin to become mildly irritated and slightly swollen. Essentially, this is equal to causing a mild allergic reaction and it may be a good idea to consult a doctor before doing so.For women who prefer to tread a more careful path, there are a few clever makeup application techniques that create the illusion of full, plump lips. Unfortunately, this only works for women who already have an "almost pout" to rely on. Brushing the lips gently is also considered to be a natural way to enhance that much-loved pout.

Lip Enhancement Products

There are several lip enhancement products on the market that claim to provide women with the ultimate glamor pout. A carefully chosen lip enhancement cream will contain ingredients that are geared towards boosting collagen production. More often than not, women will use these lip enhancement creams in conjunction with bold lipsticks and glosses. Maximum shine often creates the illusion of maximum plumpness. Again, the effects are only temporary and there is a fair amount of daily prep work involved in maintaining the right look.

Lip Enhancement Options

Women looking for more permanent solutions that do not require the tedious task of careful makeup application may want to look into lip injections or augmentations. Lip injections serve to plump up the lips for an extended period of time. The effects generally last for a few months, after which another session may be required. On the positive side, the recovery time for these injections is as short as a day -- which is great for the busy working woman who struggles to find a gap in her schedule.Lip enhancement, in the form of fillers, is the perfect procedure for patients who already a little bit of a pout to play with. These fillers are injected into the lips, plumping them up and giving them some extra volume. Local anesthesia is all that is needed for this relatively uncomplicated procedure. This final part of the procedure assists in removing any fine lines that could mar the effect of the plumping procedure. The combined cost of the filler along with the laser resurfacing is a fairly impressive deal. Not only will the patient's lips be more voluptuous, but the skin will also be soft, supple and radiantly youthful. Cost is all about perspective, really and patients should consider what beauty is worth to them. In the long run, paying for a single procedure like this may be less expensive than spending thousands of dollars a year on lip enhancement products that may or may not work.

Permanent Lip Enhancement

Lip augmentation, in the form of implants, is a permanent solution to a thin pair of lips. This procedure is intended to last, and it completely eliminates the need to have touch ups every few months. Depending on how dramatic the required change will be, a cosmetic physician will take the time to explain the benefits of either fillers or implants to the patient before any final decisions are made.

Lip Augmentation

Lip augmentation with implants, rather than fillers, may be better suited to women with extremely thin lips due to either genetics or ageing. During this hour-long procedure, the surgeon will make small incisions in the lips and use them to create a tunnel for the implant. The implant is then carefully threaded through the lip and nestled in the tunnel for the most natural look. Sutures will be used to close the incisions, and will generally be removed within 5 days.

Lip Enhancement Before and After Pictures

As with all cosmetic surgery, it is a good idea for prospective patients to have a look at some lip enhancement before and photos prior committing to any procedures. It is important to take the time to view the before and after pictures associated with each different enhancement procedure. This is the best way to gauge which procedure is better suited to the patient's final expectations. In addition to viewing photographs, patients may wish to discuss their expectations with the cosmetic physician. It is important to consider whether a dramatic change is needed or whether the patient is aiming for something more low key. Factors like age, skin type, and the natural shape and thickness of the lips will also come into play.

Stretch Mark Removal treatment

While they may be completely natural, stretch marks (depending on their severity) can be unsightly enough to cause a major dive in any person's self-confidence. Pregnancy, weight gain, rapid growth in teens, certain medications, and a handful of conditions and diseases are known to cause the appearance of stretch marks all over the body. For whatever reason, stretch marks are caused by a loss of elasticity. These marks are most commonly found on the stomach, buttocks, thighs, breasts and upper arms, though no part of the human anatomy is entirely safe. Frustratingly enough, stretch marks are not always uniform and they can present themselves in a variety of different ways. Some people suffer from a few thin white or gray streaks, while others are faced with multiple strands of pink, red, or purple. Irrespective of their shape or form, the zebra-effect caused by these marks can be disconcerting.Thankfully, stretch mark removal treatments are as varied as the blemishes themselves, though the success rate of one treatment may differ from the next.

Stretch Mark Removal Home Remedy

As is the case with most skin-related ailments, the Internet is full to the brim with an arsenal of home remedies for stretch marks. Depending on the depth and size of the blemish, some of these stretch mark removal home remedies may actually help to a certain degree. Teenagers in particular, who often have light stretch marks to begin with, may benefit from a combination of different store-cupboard treatment programs.Natural stretch mark removal generally involves a process of exfoliation and moisturization, with a few dabs of oils or extracts intended to promote cell regeneration. In many cases, raw sugar is used as a simple exfoliant. This is often followed by rubbing lemon or potato juice into the stretch marks in an effort to lighten them. Olive oil and aloe vera are applied in an effort to heal and moisturize the skin. Unfortunately, these natural stretch mark removal treatments are not always effective. Depending on the age of the patient, the condition of the skin, and the size and depth of the scarring, more mainstream treatments will need to be sourced.

Laser Stretch Mark Removal

Of all the possible treatments available, laser stretch mark removal may very well be the most successful. Without the necessity of a long recovery period, laser stretch mark removal is designed to suit virtually every skin type and every type of stretch mark. This treatment can improve the overall appearance and elasticity of the skin, using short pulses of tiny laser light to penetrate the sub-dermal layer. After the initial treatment, the body will begin its own natural, reparative processes by sweeping away old and damaged tissue. At the same time, the body will regenerate fresh collagen and elastin. Collagen assists in lightening and smoothing out stretch marks bit by bit, until they become almost completely invisible. Elastin serves to provide a more toned, youthful looking skin texture overall.Patients generally do not experience any serious pain or side effects when opting for this treatment. A little swelling or redness may be apparent immediately after the treatment session, though it does not last for much longer than a few days. In rare cases, patients may experience slight bruising or sensitivity. These effects depend largely on how sensitive the treatment site is overall.

Laser Stretch Mark Removal Cost

While some patients consider a single treatment to be enough, others with more serious blemishing may need to schedule a few extra sessions further down the line. Laser stretch mark removal cost is significantly lower than one would expect to pay for surgery or even a shelf full of lotions and potions designed to achieve a similar effect. This treatment does not necessitate the use of anesthetic, which further adds to its cost effectiveness. No strong pain killers will be needed after the procedure, which means that patients will not need to spend their hard-earned money on medication either.

Stretch Mark Removal Cream

Drugstores and pharmacies across the globe are filled with shelves of creams designed to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Pregnant women, in particular, will be drawn to products containing shea or cocoa butter. In cases where the marks are light, a stretch mark removal cream may assist in reducing the appearance of these scars.More often than not, however, a stretch mark removal cream will be prescribed for use after an initial laser treatment. The laser treatment will begin the healing process, while the cream will assist in lessening the effects of stretch marks over time.Of course, it is also important to consider the fact that any type of surgical procedure presents an element of danger. Even a minor blip could have serious consequences, as there is no way to accurately predict the body's reaction to going under the knife. As such, it is in every patient's best interests to consider other options before committing to stretch mark removal surgery.

Stretch Mark Removal Cost

Overall, laser stretch mark removal is likely the most affordable effective option. Creams and lotions may seem like an affordable option, but patients should consider the fact that they could find themselves trying hundreds of creams without ever seeing the results they are looking for.Three or four treatment sessions are considered to be effective enough to reduce stretch marks to the point of invisibility. Even so, laser treatment is still likely more cost-effective than any of the other treatments available. Add to this the fact that there is no required down-time, and the whole procedure becomes even more attractive.
